Ovi mail

Manage your account

Once you have created a Nokia account, you can update your personal information and change your password in Ovi at any time.
Manage your account

By clicking Account on the navigation bar, you can edit your Nokia account details and personal information.

Edit your personal details

1.

In the Basic information area, click Edit your basic information .
2.

Enter the information.
3.

Click Save .

Verify your contact information

1.

Click Verify beside your contact information. A confirmation e-mail or text message containing a link is sent to you.
2.

In the message, select the link to verify your contact information. When verifying a mobile number, you must connect to the internet, when prompted, to complete the process.

Add e-mail addresses or mobile numbers to your profile

1.

Click Edit your email addresses or Edit your mobile numbers .
2.

Enter your e-mail address or mobile number.
3.

Click Add and then Continue .

Set a preferred contact method

If you have added more than one e-mail address or mobile number to your contacts information, you can select which to use as the primary address and number.

1.

Click Edit your email addresses or Edit your mobile numbers .
2.

Click Set preferred beside the details you want to use.
3.

Click Continue .

Delete a contact method

1.

Click Edit your email addresses or Edit your mobile numbers .
2.

Click Delete beside the details you want to remove.
3.

Click Continue .

Close your Nokia account

1.

In the Terminate account area, click Continue with account termination .
2.

Enter your password, and click Close account .

Account termination is irreversible. If you close your Nokia account, your account and all information associated with it are removed from Ovi, Nokia Ovi Services, and all other Nokia Services that use Nokia account. However, after termination, traces of some content or information you have submitted to Nokia Ovi services or other Nokia services may remain in these services. For more information, see the service-specific terms and conditions.

You can create a new Nokia account at any time by registering to Ovi. A terminated user name cannot be re-registered for a period of 6 months.
Change your Nokia account password

1.

Sign in to Ovi, and click Account on the navigation bar.
2.

Click Change password .
3.

Enter the current password, and then the new one twice.

The password strength meter helps you to create a secure password.
4.

Click Save to change the password.

Change your account security question

1.

Sign in to Ovi, and click Account on the navigation bar.
2.

Click Security question .
3.

Enter your current password.
4.

Select a new security question, and enter the answer to the new question.
5.

Click Save to change the security question.
